We have been inundated with emails and calls about the Postal Service’s actions to lower NPA ratings of our members.  We are challenging the Postal Service on this issue just as NAPS is doing.

There is a follow up meeting today at headquarters to again address this issue.  We will keep you informed what comes of that meeting.  I want to make it perfectly clear that we do not accept unilateral changes in final ratings and we fully expect the USPS to stop these actions.  In a conversation today with Doug Tulino, VPof Labor Relations at Headquarters, I expressed our concern and dissatisfaction with the changes.  He responded that the rules have always allowed changes.  I told him if this was a unilateral effort to arbitrarily lower scores to save money it would not be tolerated  The USPS is not compiling with the Administrative Rules for NPA and we are planning a course of action through congress or other areas.

We will follow up with more information as it becomes available.

I know from my own experience being in the Marines and what it is like being away from your family during the holidays. Please click on the email link above and show him and his buddy’s they will be missed and we support them.
